The Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. Justice Solomon Korantwi-Barimah, on Wednesday, 1st July 2026, presented his Letters of Credence to the H.E. Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, at a ceremony held at the Al-Ittihadiya Palace.
During the presentation, he conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of H.E. John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, and the Government, and the people of Ghana to President Al-Sisi, and the Egyptian people, and reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to further enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries.
Recalling the relationship between Ghana and Egypt, dating back to the 1950s which was built on the shared vision of Ghana’s first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, and Egypt’s former President, Gamal Abdel Nasser, he underscored Ghana’s commitment to working closely with Egypt to maximise the opportunities presented by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the aspirations of the African Union’s Agenda 2063, emphasising the enormous trade and investment opportunities available in both countries, while pledging to work assiduously during his tenure to further deepen the bonds of friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect that have characterised Ghana-Egypt relations for more than six decades.
