CONSULAR ENGAGEMENT WITH THE GHANAIAN COMMUNITY IN EGYPT- 27TH MARCH, 2026

On Friday, 27th March, 2026 His Excellency Prof. Justice Solomon Korantwi-Barimah, Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to the Arab Republic of Egypt with concurrent accreditation to Lebanon, the State of Palestine and the Sudan, hosted the Ghanaian community in Egypt at the Chancery. The event forms part of Ghana month and the Embassy’s consular engagement activities. It was also used as a platform to inform the community about current developments in Ghana as well as to sensitise our compatriots on the services provided by the Mission. In addition to the above an Egyptian legal officer (lawyer), Mr. Amir Samir was invited to share useful information and educate the community on the requirements needed for residence permits, among others. The Ambassador also used the event as a platform to highlight consular initiatives which would be rolled out by the Embassy and underscored the commitment of the Embassy to continue working with the community to further deepen existing relations. He reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to prioritising the welfare of Ghanaians in Egypt and the countries to which the Embassy is concurrently accredited and urged community members to be law abiding citizens, while leveraging their skills and resources to drive Ghana’s development.
