On Tuesday, 28th July 2026, His Excellency Prof. Justice Solomon Korantwi-Barimah, Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to the Arab Republic of Egypt, paid a courtesy call on Professor Dr. Hanan Kamel Metwally, Dean of the Faculty of Arts of Ain Shams University. His Excellency the Ambassador was joined by Mr. Mohammed Ibn Abass, Deputy Head of Mission and staff of the Ghana Embassy. After the usual exchange of pleasantries, His Excellency the Ambassador expressed sincere appreciation to the Dean for her support and assistance in facilitating admission of Six Ghanaian students from the University of Ghana, who are currently studying an Arabic Language Proficiency Course sponsored by the Ghana Scholarships Authority.
The meeting between the two sides was fruitful and strategic, as His Excellency the Ambassador and the Dean discussed the need to commence preparations towards the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Ain Shams University and the University of Ghana to formalise and strengthen cooperation between both sides.
His Excellency, the Ambassador, later seized the opportunity to advise the students to commit to their studies, remain law-abiding, strictly observe the University’s regulations, and project a positive image of Ghana during their stay in Egypt.
